Gwmngilfen@eilidhbranch just a single data point, but to me tech is still a field where experience overrules qualifications by a large margin.
By all means do *some* training, as that's a form of experience, but do as much of the thing you want do as you can - then you can hit that "X years experience in Y" CV requirement all the sooner.
