Like I said, what I liked about it were the gameplay mechanics and the missions (well, up until that level where you have to take down tanks). Overall, it felt like I was playing an episode of GI Joe, and I liked it for exactly that reason.
Also, I've only played The Phantom Pain half. Maybe the first half was worse?
