StrypeyImagine if web search was a public good instead of a competitive business. All search engines could metasearch each other, and use the results to fill any gaps in their own database. Censoring search sites would be a constant game of #WhackAMole; if even one was missed by the censors, the crawling efforts of all of them would still be accessible.
