evilchili@djsundog I find Patriotism and Nationalism (and how often they are conflated) vile, which makes Thanksgiving and the 4th of July so, so difficult for me. The twins are five, and love a parade (and candy being thrown at them). My wife loves a parade.
I struggle with how much history the kids need at this age. They know we live on stolen land. They know villains are real. But they know Grandma and Grandpa and Mama want to watch the parade and have a big dinner.
