i find it hair-raisingly primitive how much they rely on – often even proprietary – GUI software for their statistics work. their idea of a quick/custom hack is an excel spreadsheet.
while excel is valid FP, i have so many issues with this, to the degree of doubting whether this practise can ever be truly scientific.
