Does anyone have a good recipe for homemade cherry whisky (not looking to distill my own booze, just making an infusion)? All of my searches seem to just bring up cocktail recipes, rather than homemade infusions.

@ink_slinger haven't made that specifically, but have done some infusions.
scored & crushed cherries (lots of the water/juice removed) and maybe a few whole spices (cinnamon stick maybe? cloves? [be light, easily overpowering]) in a cheese cloth bag, seal up in a mason jar for about a week in the fridge. Gently agitate it every day.
or you could cheesecloth on the way out if you want to put it into a fancy vessel when done.

@thurloat Yeah, I figured it would be that simple. I'm doing a cranberry vodka right now. Mostly, I want to know how long cherry whisky would take. I guess I could just take daily sips until it tastes right.
