Also I screwed up my pumpkin-spice joke because kibbeh nayeh is raw, and kibbeh *sahneh* is when you bake it with househ filling (i.e. Mediterranean meatloaf).

Outside of food words I speak no Arabic, and obviously I'm not even that great with the food words. Wichita had an influx of refugees from the Ottoman invasion of Syria about a hundred years ago, and food words are most all that is left of the Arabic in the current generation, so I can't even guarantee I received the right pronunciation.
