I just had this thought prior that I don't know what I'm doing on linux since I don't know what I'm doing. Kinda almost think it might have been better on windows... if it weren't for them spying and bullshit. :/

@thatbrickster wouldn't it be easier for @sim if she tried with a distro like trisquel ? https://trisquel.info/

@mangeurdenuage Nope. She uses Manjaro because the late DT suggested it. For ease of use, Ubuntu or Linux Mint may have been better. @sim

1: Trisquel is buntu based.
2: Mint has a less intuitive interface than MATE (which is the default desktop environment in trisquel)
3: Trisquel is from my experience the most stable of all ubuntu based distros.

@mangeurdenuage I'm concerned with drivers. Trisquel is FSF-approved, meaning no firmware blobs. The ones I mentioned do allow them without many, if any, complications.

Thus it explain the stability.
Again from my experience the only frustrating problems that one can encounter with it, is with GPUs and laser printers.
Otherwise it's works on everything.

@mangeurdenuage Perhaps a dual-boot with it might prove whether it's worth considering or not. For now, there's a failing HDD that needs tending to.
