    Measured the potential difference of all the components in a circuit and it adds up to the voltage of the battery. Dropped the resistance in the potentiometer, and the PD in the resistor in the circuit jumped up. Everything still adds up to voltage of battery. I assume it means the resistor is then doing more work?
