   A malicious ostatus or activitypub server can change messages with impunity, and there are very few checks or balances to ensure message integrity.  This is one of the things when they solicited feedback for ActivityPub I brought up, but it turns out it was basically already written when they did this and they didn't care to listen to my or other's concerns.

      It's unfortunate that ActivityPub is the horse the mainstream has put money on for the federation because if it does get mainstream acceptance with this shambles of a protocol with so many foundational problems, it can and it will fail.
