I haven't seen the video but my current phone is an old cheap Micromax. The customizations are at the software level, for example there's one that's supposed to translate between Indian languages by scanning things. (Could be useful for outsiders in TN bus stations for example) There's also a lot of bloatware and ads - most of which I was able to get rid of thanks to a free Chinese app
