    That really depends. Yes, 5GHz will provide more bandwidth / speed, but it's also a lot more flaky when the wireless connection isn't ideal, e.g. when you got a bunch of walls between the extender and the access point.

    I'd try it with 5Ghz first, and if that turns out to be too unreliable, switch back to 2.4GHz.
