@TheGibson the #ShortCircuit parallel occurred to me too. Also #RoboCop, the Moose is basically ED209. There's also a bit of #StarshipTroopers in there, which is hardly surprising given that was made by the same folks as Robocop. My favourite part of Chappie was where he asked his Maker why he would create him just to die. That's such a profound scene.
