yes #conda is excruciatingly slow at dependency resolution and it's extremely frustrating.
Yet I am a huge fan of conda and do everything with it. They're really in it for the long game, especially the good people from #CondaForge. Their automated build systems with dependency tracking is outstanding.

Once the dependency resolution performance is better, it will be fantastic.
