    Hi everybody! My name is Marcelo and I’m a Brazilian mathematician that loves OpenSource in general. What advices you have to me about acquiring hardware (laptop, desktop) to run Linux Slackware or OpenBSD? Keep in mind that hardware costs 4 times the US dollar in Brazil. Thanks in advance!

      @mbarboza Welcome. I would think that any affordable 64bit computer should work. I used to do much work in Brazil in the 1990s and loved it there, especially El Bolinha(sp?) on Wednesdays in Sao Paulo.
