look, bosses either need to give workers a fucking raise, or get of the way so people can collectivize.
if anything, bosses should get out of the way period, but because (f)oss is a total shitshow that prioritizes bosses, on both funded and unfunded projects, libertarianism abounds.
tech has always been like this. anti-union, pro-boss, anti-worker. this is nothing new.

If there’s anything that shouldn’t have bosses it’s #foss. How did we get here?
OTOH there’s millions of pieces of foss work out there that are made by one programmer, so this boss problem seems worse for larger projects, which are the minority in terms of numbers but which command most of the visibility/awareness of foss.
Perhaps the boss is an emergent property of size/scale...?
