Some days I wonder if we really need any new computer technology. After all, is there anything Unix *cant* do (if you’re willing to learn all of it)?

I remember things like BeOS and OS/2 that modernized many concepts. I want for us to keep trying to make something better.

@remotenemesis no doubt there has been (and could be) some cool stuff (I spend a lot of time noodling on such things).
But I’m always surprised that when I look hard enough, there’s almost always a Unix program that does what I need.
Sometimes I think I should just focus on getting everyone in the world Unix levels of computing utility.
