   Direct messages should not be represented with the type "Note" in ActivityPub implementations.

   Direct messaging is not microblogging, and Note is (and should only be) used for microblogging.

      @zatnosk Agree! A limited scope / recipients post is not a DM. However, AP inherited that deficiency by being based upon what Pump.io did.

      IMO, implementers should extend the spec and add DMs that are not just limited scope posts and not handled as such.
