@tootbrute I dreamed once I showed up at my dead brother's in-laws' house for the Japan festival Obon, where the living welcome the dead.
In a room I spoke with my imooto's grandmother (dead), both of us seated on chairs. She spoke Nihongo; I spoke English. When I emerged from the room my imooto and her family laughed: "Grandmother doesn't know any English! You don't know any Nihongo!" . "The dead have their own language," I said.
