@mangeurdenuage What information does it share? I've heard that the more add-ons I have, the slower firefox gets. I already have an add-on that disables js itself.
>What information does it share? https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/lightbeam/privacy/ It's only usefull when you don't know about the third party tracking, but you are already aware of JS and that's a VERY big improvement, but some websites go further you can see that with this addon some websites don't use JS to add third parties. >I've heard that the more add-ons I have, the slower firefox gets. Yes that is correct. >I already have an add-on that disables js itself. The addon that I posted only gets data from the third parties on the websites you visit and transforms it into a visual map, it does not block anything. It's a pretty good addon to make people realize the problematic nature of the web that we have today. And it's not only about JS, third parties can also load css and other content.
>I'm intrigued. For example in this screencap you can see that in umatrix everything is blocked except CSS and Images from askubuntu.com but I also had to authorize the CSS of sstatic.net because otherwise the website wouldn't be readable. So my the fingerprint that I give is limited to the IP address that askubuntu.com and sstatic.net gets, plus the CSS functions that can be done (and it's quite a lot) and of course the fact that I don't let anything else loaded/executed (yes because of absence of something that should have happen is also a way of determining something). https://loadaverage.org/attachment/5012129
