      I'm sorry that so many people read this article. I didn't even read the whole thing myself. I was searching for something else, and found the quote that GS is a worse Twitter, and I found that so funny, because:
      
      When I joined identi.ca back in 2008 it was partly because it was free software and federated, but also to a large degree because it was almost objectively better than Twitter. Twitter had the frequent Fail Whale and they had turned off their cool XMPP interface, whereas laconi.ca (which ran identi.ca) had an XMPP interface, better uptime, and a couple of features that Twitter didn't have, like groups and better conversation layout.

      Yes, I can get to all three pages from there (at least in frio), but that's just an example of the confusion and load, when all three pages could be one page showing me posts, avatar, profile info, contact status and the "submit contact request" button.
      
      Also there's the contact/profile confusion where I can be surprisingly taken to their host. I'd put that on the contact page only, and have every other reference in the UI be to the contact page.
      
      I'm not filing issues or making discussion on this, because it's all opinionated and the only way to show that I'm right (or wrong!) is a working theme showing it off, and I don't want to make anyone else feel they should do it on my whim.
      
      I'll get around to it. And then we'll discuss if it should be folded into frio or be a separate theme.
