         @thurloat Mastodon.cloud was taken over (bought out?) by some Japanese corporation. Drama has ensued, though I've mostly being avoiding it because I'm not sure if I care.

               @thurloat That's the big question, I imagine. I don't even know how you could make money from the fediverse unless you're just blatantly selling account data to...someone. But who?
