    In the past #BMW model names were correlated to the chassis type & the engine. A 328i was a 3-series chassis with a 2.8 liter. The i and d stood for fuel-injected and diesel respectively. These days, AFAIK, that’s no longer the case and model numbers are a bit arbitrary. !cars
