My phone screen is broken. The glass is fine, but the actual display stopped working properly. Pulled out my backup phone as a temporary solution. Hopefully, I can get to a repair place before they close and see what can be done.

The repair shop I normally go to doesn't have the parts necessary to fix my phone and also said it's not even worth repairing because the phone is old enough that the repair would cost more than the phone is worth. I hate the economics of cell phones. Gonna call another shop or two to see if they have the part and then maybe look into refurbs, since I wasn't planning on replacing this phone for another year, at least.

@ink_slinger if you really like the phone, you could get a few broken ones from eBay and use them as parts phones to keep one of them in ship-shape.

@thurloat That's a possibility. But it always seems like the issue with broken eBay phones is the digitizer, which I'm pretty sure is exactly what failed on mine.
