      It's deeply disturbing to see well-meaning activists actively campaigning for increased state-corporate censorship of the net. This is why we need our high schools to start teaching #civics to all students. So that every citizen leaves school understanding what a functioning democracy requires, and knowing the political history that shows us why that is.

        @strypey the especially dangerous thing about it is that institutions can be infiltrated by the exact same people they want protection from.

        Mass education to immunize people against patterns that are proven to be harmful (including why they cause problems) is the only way to deal with it.
