I'm somewhat thankful for trump, at least he's incompetent enough to not be Hitler and that he's acting like a bleed off valve for some reactionary tension that's been building a lot since the GFC and austerity since 2007.

The same can't be said for Macron who is a neoliberal who is less liked by the electorate than trump while someone like Le Pen is waiting in the wing to take power when Macron inevitably falls.
