That sounds pretty sweet. I don't actually know PHP (I'm not a programmer), it was just the simplest way I could figure out to pull in a single file for the header and navigation, so I wouldn't have to make changes on every page to update the menu.

Exactly! I feel like I was using way more complication than necessary to accomplish a simple task, so stripping it down feels pretty fun.
