The two Italian girls have never seen the sea, so they skip school and try to walk to it, but don't manage to get there, so they return disappointed. Yet on their way home, there's a colossal rainstorm and they return sopping wet, so I said, "they didn't make it to the sea, but the sea came to them". And now your status reminded me of this.
