brennen@t54r4n1 @earthtopus i have a perhaps weird view of this in that i grew up in a place where we literally put all the refuse in a large hole dug in the ground with an excavator. (in years where the water table was low and the hole not full of water, we were usually able to light the trash on fire, thus greatly increasing the holding capacity of the trash hole.)
and _then_ the 1990s happened and we all got steeped in the recycling propaganda. bit of conceptual shear there.
