Mike, First of His Name@themugue I don't think communism itself is really the problem there, so much as the fact that people can use any kind of system to abuse others.
I think communism as a theory is probably a much better basis for a society than, say, capitalism - but implementing may not actually be possible because people, in general, are pretty fucked. Not that any other system will be inherently capable of saving us from each other either ... but we can dream.
