Je pense que l'historique est le suivant:
- Eben Moglen - we need "freedom in the cloud"
- W3C - ok, let's create this working group: social web
- IndieWeb - pff c'est chiant le w3c, on veut faire des choses, maintenant
- IndieWeb - pff, pingback, c'est moche, c'est xml
- IndieWeb - webmention c'est cool \o/
- w3c - ok, on a finalement reussi a faire ActivityPub

C'est ce que j'ai compris.
