    Aha. This is what I was remembering. I knew that #Elxis is no longer Freedom Respecting / Freedom Preserving software. Their license http://www.elxis.org/elxis-public-license.html [elxis.org] does not allow distribution of modifications. (So it is zero-price, but restricted, like “shared source” licenses.)

      @lnxw48a1 Chances are these days if they are claiming they are free software or open source, but roll their own license, they're trying to screw you.
