    Glad that EDRi picked up my paper on the collision between GDPR and the (now unfortunatly adopted by the EP) #CopyrightDirective.

    Now that it will likely to be implemented in national law, law makers face a similar issue: Implement it fully and violate CFR or stay behind and risk trouble for not adopting it fully.

      The debate around the Copyright Directive reform has been intense. However, few observers have analysed the impact of Article 13/17 on the GDPR. On 23 March a German judge published an article explaining why the filtering technology required by the Copyright Directive might be incompatible with European data protection rules.
