   Friends came over for dinner. The kids had (oat) milk. Friends kid takes a drink, incredulously: "That's a strange taste for milk!"

   My kid: "I love this grass milk."

   I mean, oats are technically a grass...

      @ink_slinger we picked up oatmilk over the weekend!

      tried it on its own: okay if not a little bland
      in coffee: *amazing*, first non-dairy coffee cream replacement i've found that doesnt feel and taste like garbage
      in cereal: also great
      in oatmeal: heh

         @thurloat Silk makes a coconut coffee creamer that's pretty good, but I like the oat milk better because it doesn't change the flavor as much.
