"Pepper spray is illegal under Section 5(1)(b) of the Firearms Act 1968: "A person commits an offence if [...] he has in his possession [...] any weapon of whatever description designed or adapted for the discharge of any noxious liquid, gas or other thing."" So what the fuck can we use for self-defence in the UK? :/
-
@sim Something I already knew about, which is why I have deterrent spray with a UV marker. It's expensive but legal.
Basically you can't use things in a way they weren't intended for, i.e. self-defence.
-
@thatbrickster Ooh... that is what you have. I was thinking about that. :')
This is very confusing. It's almost like they don't want us to defend ourselves...
-
@sim What d'you need that for? If you need more protection, how about funding the police more?
:^)
-
@thatbrickster Screw that. By the time they arrive, the confrontation has already happened. I want to be able to handle it myself if need be.
-
@sim But Sim...
...only criminals need weapons. Gun control is clearly the superior option even if the scope is creeping to cover knifes and whatnot.
Acid to throw at faces is all right though. ;^)

@thatbrickster Yeah... we're screwed.
