The main thing I'm getting from this app for learning to drive is that I'm not really absorbing the material. I'll read through a chapter and take the test and there are questions about things that I don't remember reading at all. When I go back to look for them, they are indeed there. Now repeat this story for every chapter. I'm not getting better at it and I don't think I'm learning anything from going back to hunt for answers to specific questions.

This whole "read a book cover to cover to learn it" business has never made any sense to me. I can't learn that way. That's what they do in school and it always felt like a pointless exercise to me, because I would hardly remember a thing afterwards. Are you meant to read it over and over until you can remember it all? That sounds like a very unpleasant undertaking to me, like a form of torture. I'm the kind of person who only watches movies once.
