Charbax@yukiame Notre Dame is a 853 year old building, it never burnt during all those years, it survived so many wars, kind of shitty that it had to partially burn now, perhaps some shitty thing caught fire with the heating system or something in the restauration equipment, like an exploded lithium ion battery or some shit like that. The church doesn't own it, it belongs to the people. Rich people's large donations to repair it are being tax deducted though.
