@loke for me it was reading about org mode and running os as emacs. hearing about people's setup from org mode > pandoc (some elisp equilivant?) > website/notes or hearing about magit and code diffs and web browsing seemed magical. i'm not sure i can remember the exact resources though.

i switched to spacemacs but couldn't quite get used to it and eventually went to nvim.
