Almond milk: Good in coffee, can get decent microfoam for lattes & such. Unsweetened vanilla is nice in smoothies or coffee with a couple drops of liquid stevia. Pretty watery, though.

Cashew milk: Watery, like essence of cashew. The kind I buy literally blends in almond butter to thicken it a bit. Tastes pretty bland. Doesn't foam.

Coconut milk: This is not a beverage. The coconut beverage they sell as "milk" is a chemistry project.

Oat milk: Good in coffee, creamy like dairy but doesn't heat well if you want lattes and such. Pretty good to just drink on it's own. Has an oaty, nutty flavour that seems to be stronger depending on the brand you buy.

Soy milk: No idea. I remember not liking the taste when I had it years ago, but I've got a carton in my fridge that I'll open when the cashew milk is used up.

@ink_slinger I just got a coffee with Soy milk in it. Not bad, quite bland, but IMO oat milk is better.

what other oat milks did you find?

@thurloat I've only had the one. I haven't actually seen other brands around here. I also tried making my own but the recipe I followed was a fail (super watery and also quite oaty in flavour, but in a bad way, like stale oatmeal).

@ShaunBartone said they tried the Pacific brand and it was too oaty.
