      There's also the dirty way of unlocking it. Will look into that deeper tomorrow. There are lots of warnings in red capitals in the XDA articles, so no rush. 😀
      
      The dirty way involves getting root and then overwriting the baseband to remove secure boot.
      
      TIL there's soft-bricking your phone, hard-bricking your phone and then there's HARD hard-bricking. I don't want to go there, so I'd better read carefully.
