At Penguicon 2019 this weekend I was on a panel to talk about Mastodon/Pleroma/etc and there are a lot of non-tech people interested, especially those who do political organizing.

One of the main takeaways is that there also needs to be a way to manage groups of people and schedule events. That's one thing holding people on Facebook. I already knew this, but I didn't think it was quite so common...
