    The practical impact is that in a few years most people in most countries will acquire the ability to use an american ISP.

    This will have quite a large impact in various countries.

    With electricity, some payment method and no govt jamming, internet worldwide

      @clacke Can you imagine what the satellite lag will do to all these "load a ton of JS then let the JS load the site itself" sites? They're likely to be unusable.
