artsyhonker aka Kathryn@lilletale I think the mainstream Jewish take on sexuality has been pretty heterosexual for a long time, too. There are scholars today working on other interpretations of key texts, but then the same could be said of Christianity; certainly my own Christian faith has plenty of room for queerness, and we have no record of Jesus saying anything to suggest that heterosexuality was best. (Paul is another matter, but there are major translation and context issues there.)
