            @Zordon (Linux Walt) I guess both groups, mostly the kids of today I think -- there was no Team Rocket and Meowth, no Pikachu's original human (or is the main character supposed to be his son?) -- but judging from my 6yo, 6 might be too young.
            
            Part of it could be language, maybe someone watching it in their first language would be more engaged.

      It is not a huge exaggeration to say that the dialogue used the word "pokemon" a hundred times. Easily fifty times.
