Sometimes, selfishly, I wish I'd been born a few decades earlier so I wouldn't have to seriously content with the global climate crises and the utter failure of capitalism and liberal democracy.

alternatively, but equally as selfish, id also wish id been born a couple decades later, so that either "we" fixed the problem and i would get to live the problems of old age or wouldnt have been born-

If we do solve climate change, then I suspect it will because of a third gift of #WesternCivilisation, science and technology. Of course, they (plus capitalism) were responsible for massive carbon emissions in the first place.

A bit from column A, a bit from column B. I don't think democracy itself is a failure, but liberal democracies around the world are definitely showing some major cracks, if not full on collapsing. A lot of things are going to need to be dramatically restructured to solve the issues we face.
