You don't want to raise a child prodigy:

And no kid wants to BE a child prodigy. Once you get saddled with the "gifted" or "prodigy" label, your childhood is pretty much over. If you had trouble getting along with other kids your age before your ability was "discovered", it's just gonna get worse.

Yes, I'm a little bitter.
