I liberated one discarded flower from the plant that I've had my eye on in this community garden. As far as I can tell the plant is a green onion plant that produces large leaves, which might be good for eating, as with green onion. The flower has seeds, and now I'm trying to germinate them. Cutting the stem/stalk of the flower reveals a smell that's definitely oniony but not-great. #gardening #nature

What fun! Maybe you'll soon have fresh, home-grown scallions! Better show it to an expert. Make sure it's not something lethal to humans or post-humans.
