    @JordiGH @technomancy I forgot you can see accurate follower numbers if you go to a person's profile on their native instance. Because, looking at @nolan's account on my instance, he's only got 17 followers! 😂

      @nolan @technomancy @JordiGH I mostly don't pay attention to follower counts when I'm deciding to follow someone. It's just: do they have good posts and/or did they interact with something I posted (which isn't a guaranteed follow, but will at least get my attention).

      I probably follow "celebrities." I think the only person who has never responded to a chat is Eugen, but he probably legit has way too much noise in his notifications.

        @JordiGH @technomancy @nolan TL;DR: I find the fediverse is generally pretty high on "engagement" and people will usually talk to you if you strike up a convo and aren't an asshole. :)
