It is really annoying how tech companies seem to all focus on what is the current trendiness rather then trying to differentiate themselves.

Apple removes headphone jack, suddenly EVERYONE does. The race to the thinnest phone, everyone colouring them black, etc etc.

I swear, is the entire tech industry run by fear of missing out? Is there a reason people don't go "Sure, 75% of people like X type of phone, lets go after the other 25% where there is less competition?"
