   Did you apply that on ldavg? I wonder if clone() creates a new connection (*1) or just an equal object that reuses the same connection (*2)... I would be expecting *2... But if it's working...

      I'm not sure myself, so maybe it's better to use a more straightforward approach with calling DB::connect() directly.
